Переглядів 931Місяць тому
SO THIS OLD PILE OF JUNK. IS THE NEW BURNOUT TRUCK FOR THE CHANNEL. I wanted something i didn't care about well, we found just that, this old 1993 1st gen cummins is going to live a hard life with us but it's going to be awesome, stay tubed to see if i can make a cummins burnout truck live

1500hp 6.7 Cummins tare down, IT'S HURT
Переглядів 1,4 тис.2 місяці тому
well the part we figured that was going to fail in this 1500hp 6.7 Cummins engine is what get us, the wrist pins were not up the the job, but this time we have some @DJPrecisionMachine tool stell wrist pins for it, watch out for the assembly video on the engine !!!!!
figured out why the ppump 6.7 Cummins BLOW UP
Переглядів 2,9 тис.2 місяці тому
why the ppump 6.7 cummins come to the end of it's life because of a parts failure. well i guess i should say it from the pistons design that won't take the power i was asking it too. but this is why i own my own engine shop, fast and easy for me to fix these issues.
TIMING LIGHT ON A CUMMINS ? plus we have Data !
Переглядів 1,2 тис.2 місяці тому
well i want to know what we have for sure on for timing so i spent the time to check the timing. we had 16-17 degrees rigtht now with the the timing gear one teeth skipped, good starting point i think. also we installed the @JustRaceParts monitor that will give us data logs. Now we have a bunch of stuff when can see,
WORTH THE MONEY ? VE CUMMINS FUEL PIN
Переглядів 4,4 тис.2 місяці тому
well, on a stock truck, i would say there is not much point in adding a fuel pin to your stock ve 12 dodge cummins , Now we should try a couple diff brands of pins, have to see if any manufactures want to put there pin to the test, but as it stands now the dyno don't lie,
CUMMINS DOWN -- Well that sucked
Переглядів 2,6 тис.2 місяці тому
well we got the new intercooler in the truck but it was short lived, i think the 400hp shoot of nitrous was just to much for the pistons. well i will do a video of what i find in the engine when we get it all apart. but it did make extra power with the new cooler so thats cool !!!
Does a S492 on my 6.7 Cummins make difference ?
Переглядів 1,2 тис.3 місяці тому
well i swapped the s475 turbo on the ppump 6.7 cummins for a S492 to see if it made more power it did my a bit more power on fuel only, but the s475 still has the high power number with nitrous.

Very interested to see how the HX35 does if you go that route ! Looking at you intake what's your opinion on the banks split intake, I guess it would work on a 1st gen with a VE pump ? Looks like you added a secondary oil filtration system as well ! Where did you run the return line ?

Hello, dear Mr. Rob, don't worry, I am also a 53-year-old Cummins engine mechanic in Iran, in the city of Qom, and I have been following your program carefully for several years, and unfortunately, 6 months ago, due to a blood clot in the central stem of my brain (three months after surgery) Lateral abdominal hernia), I had a stroke and after a long time of treatment, thank God, I am better, but after that, I had joint pains, and the right side of my body is getting weaker day by day. Please show my MRI and heart tests to a skilled doctor there and please help me to return to my previous job, if it is possible for you ❤️❤️❤️❤️

  • @robsnodgrass915

It's always the simplest thing. Maybe cause the pump was good at idle, mid, and top with compounds, it would make sense that at lower cfm of HX 35 it could idle mid cough at mids and finally clear at top cause the pumps too fat in the mids. Wish you luck and a quick solution.

Any fuel used for "Public Highway use" MUST be EPA and DOT CERTIFIED. Few "alternate" fuels (bio-diesel, "black" diesel and more) HAVE been. Owners of old Mercedes diesels for DECADES used dirt-cheap kerosene with a quart of "reclaimed motor oil" added to 10 gallons of fuel-for a whopping .13 cent a gallon total. You don't see an DB trucks, MAN trucks etc. on US roads because they MUST burn #1 Super diesel and DON'T use DEF fluid. Audi and VW diesels must use Porsche/Audi PINK DEF Fluid ($80+ a gallon) but they sip it. You cannot use "red diesel" for on-road use!

Did anyone hear that CACAfornia's new regulations require new 450, 550, and above diesels to have to get two smog tests per year? In 2027, that increases to four smog tests per year.

Got a question for you. My 1991 first gen is having troubles with oil pressure. When it's warmed up and I'm decelerating, it almost dies coming to a stop and the oil pressure gauge drops to nothing. But pressing back on the throttle picks the gauge back up to the line before half. The motor's got 400k miles on it is what I was told. Any information would be great! Thanks

Think the Goodson unshrouding tool helps mainly low lift flow? I want to pocket port & try the new dimple pistons & gapless 2nd rings for a few towing projects... all Common Rails. PDD is selling a higher lift cam they boast better mpg & power increase... seem the majority of CR cams just shift the power higher into to rpm range. Looking for tq & mpg. Their cam worth while it?

Diesels that have injector pumps are said to be susceptible to the carbon wearing out the pump prematurely. Black diesel oil has a lot of fine micro particles of carbon in it. The only way to safely run it is to use a centrifuge to take out the carbon particles.

early powerstrokes aren't mechanical injection they are HEUI. You said several times its ok to run black diesel in them but then said its best to run it in mechanical systems. I have a 96 f350 with 250cc injector, 75mm turbo, stage two injection pump, Martys E fuel. Its an over 600hp truck. Do you think its ok for me to run black diesel? Also could I run black diesel in a m57 Bmw 335d if its been completely deleted and has no emissions crap on it?

so if you want to advance the timing with the pump in the stock position line to line location you turn the pump gear clockwise? how many degrees is each tooth ? i just put a new pump in set it up the way my stock pump was and it did zero but crank when i set it in at stock position i had to advance it all the way to the cylinder head and its rumbling like it wants to start retard it and it does zero as i turn it over so it wants to start but needs more time now and i cannot turn my pump any further.

I’m looking at a 2001 24v long bed with 360,000 miles for $6,000 near me and it’s a farm truck. It’s completely stock except for a air filter upgrade and a straight pipe… I’m really interested in getting it because the truck isn’t rusted and the inside interior is in great shape… on top of it looking like your typical grandpa 2nd Gen look and being almost completely bone stock. I’m really thinking about picking it up since it’s impossible to find one’s still in bone stock condition for that price. I would end up keeping it forever because my dream vehicle has always been a 2nd Gen Cummins long bed.

11:10 What kind of problems? Just bought a truck that suppose to have a rebuilt motor. Builder quality unknown. I have 1998.5 24v with crank sensor on lower driver side of block. I am chasing a low or no oil pressure at idle and 20 psi with throttle bumped to 2k rpm.(Strange thing is at idle the low reading makes no sense because I removed the mechanical gauge and the oil pressure shot up to the hood(mess everywhere) I have changed the oil pump and oil filter head thinking something may be wrong with oil pressure regulator. I came across your video. I now wonder if the oil cooler is incorrect. Oil pressure is the same low or no pressure at idle and 20 psi at 2k rpm

Any thoughts on Medium duty trucks??? Like improvements on air, fuel, exhaust just for longevity sakes, I'm fine with it running the way it does, it's a putter and it can go 75 on the beltway. I thought about taking off the front of motor to address that ( KDP) change out the water pump while there and do the thermostat. I seen something on the heater grid bolt. Its a 1999 F-800 with a 5.9 Cummins And it runs just fine, located here in Baltimore MD,but need to travel to western Pa with those 6% grades.

    • @searlearnold2867
      @searlearnold2867 10 днів тому

I've had a few F800's in commercial fleets, you can do the basics like you think. First move is to make sure you're starting with a well built crate or rebuilt, not hot rodding an old tired engine. Are you thinking of the 6.7 issue with the heater grid bolt? The thing with the F800 is the fact that it is not like an F350. The diffs and the transmission are medium duty. The best performance bet is to improve the transmission. If it's a 5 speed Allison automatic, the upgrade would be a 6 speed. If it's a manual transmission, how many gears? If it's a 6 speed, you may want a 9 or 10 speed to give you more choice for those hills. A 10 speed is a 5 speed around town, but the splits really help on those hills. Rear end gears appropriate for the mountains can kill you on the flats depending on your load and vice versa. If you're not on long hauls, a middle of the road rear end ratio will make a difference.
